Celebrate
Welcome to the season of celebrations and observances! Yes, I’m looking at you Passover, Easter, Ramadan, National Poetry Month, Earth Day, etc. Whatever causes you to gather with loved-ones, we’re here for it!
If you reach out prior to the market, you can pre-order your smoked Easter ham (both boneless and bone in) from R & M Farm. Ryan will also offer new and unique salami products such as black truffle, genoa, hot and sweet Napoli, and many more. Dry aged and delicious!
Orchard Hill Farm promises that the first radishes of the season will be on their table! Both the Bacchus (spicy and bold variety) and the Breakfast (mild variety). Their arugula and spinach should also be really tasty, along with a very limited supply of flavorful Garlic Chives.
Looking for a unique side dish? Try Yotam Ottolenghi’s Roasted Onion Salad with Arugula and Walnut Salsa: You’ll find most of the ingredients at peak freshness on Sunday. Stock up on olive oil with a stop at Kontoulis Family Olive Oil. Your dressings and sauces will thank you for it. Yummy…and so very good for you!
A quick and easy market-made treat? Grab some creamy Lemon Basil hummus from AYA, slather it on a thick slice of crusty Pain de Mie from Bien Cuit, and top it with a generous fist-full of Orchard Hill microgreens: sun shoots have a distinct, nutty flavor and are crunchy and succulent. Or maybe stay with the radish family for a peppery kick? Perfection!
If you’re feeling like you want someone else to cook for you, we understand and we certainly don’t judge! We do have plenty of options. Grab a salad from Nutmeg Bakery, soup from Jody’s Kitchen, and/or a sandwich from Hand Held Kitchen.
Invited to a holiday dinner? Guest vendor Chloe Sikirica will have a selection of her bold, beautiful, and functional hand-crafted pottery pieces. Perfect for gift giving!
See you at the market!
