It's Tomato Time!

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived!

Halal Pastures Farm has a beautiful selection of tomatoes for you to choose from. (If you’re a major tomato lover like me, you owe yourself a visit to Bloody Good Mud this week for the most flavor-packed bloody Mary mix you’ve ever had!) Once you’ve done that, you can home in on the juicy, refreshing sweetness of cherry tomatoes crowning crisp, leafy greens from Halal Pastures in this cherry tomato Caesar salad. Fresh ginger from Madura Farm lends a bright, citrusy element to this gingery tomato bruschetta, and who else can’t wait to welcome Chris from Varietal Bread back to the market?! His flavorful sourdough is the perfect base for a zesty bruschetta, or you can sizzle it in curry powder-infused oil to elevate your next tomato sandwich. Alternatively, you can simply drizzle with garlic-infused olive oil from Arlotta Food Studio and then shower it with sea salt. Yum!

Speaking of sandwiches, why not stop for lunch at Kinwich Sandwich Truck?Their banh mi wrap is particularly mouth-watering on a hot July day. From hearty, marinated tempeh to punchy cilantro and everything in between, the masterful mix of flavors is exquisite.

Feeling too hot to cook? This simple Summer Ceviche is cooling and nutritious. You can pick up fish from Pura Vida, of course. And, yes, we are continuing to showcase the versatility of tomatoes!

Empabake Empanadas is back this week with their always-baked, never-fried empanadas. You'll also want to stock up on Mama Hu’s deconstructed sushi roll casseroles. Buy them frozen to heat and serve; turning a ho-hum weeknight meal into a dining experience.

If it’s sweetness you’re after, look no further than Gaelle’s French Pastries. Her macarons will melt in your mouth just like Chef Thierry’s classic crêpe from Escargot Voyageur. This season, we’re especially loving the pairing of a pot of White Moustache Yogurt with sprinkles of The Hampton Grocer granola. It's the perfect breakfast or mid-afternoon pick me up!

Music is by Milton. Be sure to stick around for a set; a market’s always better with a fantastic band on the plaza
