We'll be cozy and warm, indoors, at the MSS on Sunday!

Hello everyone! This week at the winter market, we’ve got another fantastic array of vendors for your perusing and purchasing pleasure. We will be indoors for the most part, but some of our vendors (including our two food trucks!) will be outside so make sure you don't miss anyone!

We can always count on Caradonna Farms to bring delicious and seasonal fruit on display, and right now their Bosc and Asian pears look particularly tantalizing. In this recipe for sheet-pan roasted chicken with pears and arugula, they'll add some sweetness to R&M Farm's pasture-raised, organic chicken, and peppery arugula from Great Joy Family Farms. Or, if you’re looking for a decadent market-driven dessert, try making red wine honey cake with plumsfrom Caradonna. Feel free to elevate the dish with rich olive oil from Arlotta Food Studio.

If you’re like me and the winter has you craving pasta on a daily basis, I recommend picking up several types of fresh pasta from La Trafila and sharp flavored chives from 4E Green Farm for this creamy chive pasta with lemon. For a flavorful pairing, I recommend this lacinato kale & mint salad with spicy peanut dressing; 4E and Madura Farms have your kale needs covered.

White Pine Community Farm, is joining us as a guest vendor. They grow their own herbs, flowers and plants to blend medicinal teas like mugwort, sumac and nettle. They also make their own elderberry elixir to help ward off colds and the flu this season. Just pour over your child’s yogurt or ice cream! Annie’s Ginger Elixir is also a potent drink to have in your antibody arsenal. They are also in the house on Sunday.

In the prepared food department, we’re thrilled to have The Fearless Cook Food Truck, and XOLO Food Truck providing ready-made meals for you to enjoy. Asian Farmer Dumplings is returning again, and Raw Chocolate Lovewill be serving up fantastic almond milk hot chocolate to warm you up on a cold winter’s day. If you’re looking for artisanal soaps, Soaps on Hudson has you covered with their aromatic soaps each stamped with the distinctive Hastings water tower.

We’ll see you at the market!
